Bullets, Balls and Slugs

Our balls are hand-cast in pure lead and very uniform in size. The balls do have a sprue as they are cast.
Just place the sprue at the top as you load the ball. The sizes (below) are expressed in inches in decimal form. For example, .500 equals .50 caliber.

We will be adding conical and other types of projectiles soon.

ABOUT SUGGESTED LOADS
We get a lot of calls from folks starting out in muzzle loading looking for load for their TC, CVA or Italian Hawken type rifle. For a .50 caliber rifle, I suggest a .490 ball with a .015 inch patch powdered by 75 grains of real 2f black powder. If you have a .45 caliber rifle, try a .440 caliber ball/.015 inch patch with 60 grains of real 2f black powder. These are good starting places for you to find what your gun prefers.

If you have bought a used gun, ALWAYS have a knowledgeable black powder gunsmith check out your gun before firing any load. Even a light one!
